I hate to rain on your parade. There’s a dozen other bands that could call this place home. But when I turn around all I see is us. It’s a feel good song, it’s for anyone who feels stoked that they belong, right now. Right now you make yourself sound so legit. But we can see right through you. / Another show, another friend. We push through writer’s block to make amends and save face. We are not the band you thought we would be. (And we don’t care what you think) I’m only singing this to prove you wrong. / I won’t steal ideas from my heroes as they all turn human and fake. It makes me laugh, as I hit the stage. It’s a feel good song, it’s for anyone who feels stoked that they belong, to something, anything, just don’t keep me still. / It took me a couple of weeks to write a happy song. It took me a couple of weeks to get me through this. That’s not enough for me. We struggled enough and we came back fighting! That’s not enough for me. That’s not enough. The utmost optimistic girl in the world, could have spun me around, could have widened my eyes. The feeling of this person made me wanna hurl cause viewing her was like a fake sunrise. I sat back wishing that my conscience would clear. The brutal bashing was harsh and it put tears in her life. I told her that her attitude was insincere. These thoughts left my mouth and now tax my mind. / Let’s rewind. Please close your eyes. Let’s start over. Let’s rewind. / Oh why, did I make you cry! I’d retake that time to make you mine. It made me feel low. Girl you made me know! What I said was crude, not to mention rude. I look up to you. / She walked to my table and gave me a frown. Her appearance was sad. I’m thinking, “What have I done?” I stood up to her and my moral fell down, gazing down the barrel of her loaded gun. Damn, it’s all done with; you’re not just some chick. God all I want is, for you to stay quick. Let me explain this, I’m so damn jealous. Please understand your blood is thicker than mine. / Oh why, did you take the time to give me a smile? It didn’t take a while. It made me feel low. Girl you made me know! That you got class and what’s done is past. I look up to you. / No more need to ask why. No more time to make you mine. / What the hell is wrong with me? I’m only pulling you down. Only seconds of mercy and I can’t make a sound. I’m ripped in half now; I see you’re all stitched up. Just let me beg here. I realized I look up to you.

I’ve never been so alive. / Give me another sing along to sing. Don’t care if it’s about a girl or a place where friends meet. I’ve got this winning streak I hope to keep. / This fits me so well. I’m ready to shed this supporting actor role. And it works well. It feels so invincible. An optimistic outlook, I feel like I’m undefeated in regulation.
